I saw 'big momma's house 2' last night. Surely, it isn't going to win any academy awards, but it was oddly entertaining watching Martin Lawrence strut around as an obese older woman, especially, in her bathing suit. The make up job for the fat suit was very well done. It looked pretty realistic to me. And for the Desperate Housewives fan, the actor Mark Moses(plays Paul Young on DH) is one of the supporting actors. It's fair to say, that 'Big Momma's...' was an alright film with some laughs and i like laughs. They can come in different sizes and forms, but when it all comes down to laughing, there is a variety of humor that does the trick for me. I can't say the same about 'The Producers'. I TRIED to watch that and found it so ridiculously over the top. I know it's a musical, I happen to like musicals a lot but this one was a stinker in my book. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are the stars. Uma Thurman plays a Swedish girl that they hire, and Roger Bart(also of Desperate Housewives) playa a very flamboyant gay character. Those actors from DH are just popping up all over the movies.
Suffice to say, 'big momma's house' was better of the 2 films.
Desperate Housewives' season is over and I just don't know how I will spend my Sunday evenings. I don't watch that many shows but both DH and Grey's Anatomy are so great..the acting, writing, comedy soap operaishness of them both send me straight to the couch on sunday nights.
I, unfortunately, missed the season finale for Grey's Anatomy. DH's was really good. The second season was not as good as the first. Now, i have to wait til September to see what's going on with Kyle McCallan's character, Orson. i've got some ideas about him.
today, i plan to sit around my house in pajamas as we are all sick with colds. It is going to be a long day...
